Hello Cinnamon Cove Friends,

I had a call from a neighbor asking for an update since the heavy rains have passed, at least for now, SWFL and in particular CC.

Since I am not there, I can only report what I have learned from permanent residents.  Yes, the streets did get flooded and often the water was up into the yards.  The lakes are very full, and as a result, the storm drains were slow to take all the rain.  But, from what I’ve heard, no water entered any residences, and that’s a good thing.  Around 11 or 12 inches fell on our area with right at 20 inches at Page Field.  We were lucky in that regard.

If you pay attention to The Weather Channel or follow on line, you may have noticed a large hurricane developing in the Atlantic.  Of course, the forecasters say it’s too early to determine the path, so keep an eye out.

Thanks go out again to the folks who posted reports on The Cinnamon Cove Clubhouse Facebook page.  That was very helpful.

I am also posting this on the Facebook page.
