Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) is the leading provider of health care in Southwest Florida and has served the citizens of Lee County and surrounding communities since 1916. LMHS is the largest community-owned health care system in the area - and the largest public system in Florida that receives no direct tax support. Governed by a publicly elected 10-member Board of Directors, the LMHS' commitment to community goes beyond facility walls and the millions of dollars in uncompensated care provided to those unable to pay. It's reflected in LMHS' support of area organizations, promotion of community health education programs, focus on the overall growth and development of the area's children, and dedication to helping senior citizens live full, productive lives. A progressive, financially sound health care provider with more than 5,700 employees, 2,500 volunteers and auxilians, and 830 physicians on staff, and 948 licensed beds, the System is a member of Voluntary Hospitals of America, Florida Partnership; the Florida Hospital Association; Association of Voluntary Hospitals of Florida and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
In addition to the four hospitals linked below, the System operates a number of rehabilitation, outpatient, long-term nursing and emergency care facilities throughout the county. The vast majority of these facilities are easily and quickly accessible to Cinnamon Cove residents, with the nearest facility being HealthPark Medical Center.
